Diet Coke, is a sugar and calorie-free drink produced by Coca-Cola, released on the market in 1982. Although it wasn’t necessarily aimed at women, towards all people careful about their sugar and calorie intake, the drink quickly became popular with the ladies – not so much with men, however.

The drink is also known as Coca-Cola Light in some countries, and it has its own specific taste, so it’s not just a diet version of the original.

The Coca-Cola company has come up with over 10 varieties under the Diet Coke brand, including Caffeine-Free, Vanilla, Sweetened with Splenda, Cherry, Citrus Zest, Plus, and Raspberry, some of which having been discontinued over the years.

Coke Zero, is a no-sugar low-calorie drink just like Diet Coke, but specifically marketed towards male consumers. Since the word “diet” is usually associated with women, men tended to avoid purchasing Diet Coke, and so the Zero version came to be.

Coke Zero was released on the market in 2005 and has a more “rugged” appearance, with a black background, the usual Coca-Cola logo written in red, and a white “Zero” is a geometric typeface.

In terms of taste, the drink resembles the original Coca-Cola very closely, but there are a few other flavor variants as well, such as Vanilla Zero and Cherry Zero.

There are some differences between Coke Zero and Diet Coke in terms of ingredients and their amounts too.
