He sacrificed himself for the sake of the people and will return to Earth as the Messiah, as prophesied by the Old Testament.

The religion has its origins in Judea, in the mid-1^st century and it spread quickly to other parts of the world, becoming the Roman Empire’s official state church in the 4^th century.

Islam

Similar to Christianity, Islam is also a monotheistic religion, which has the prophet Muhammad and his teachings as its focal point. The origin is in the 7^th century in Mecca and it quickly gained ground in the Arabian Peninsula and other regions. Today, it has more than 1.7 billion followers, making it the second largest religious belief after Christianity.

Islamic followers believe that this is the universal, original faith that was brought to light multiple times by various prophets, including Moses, Noah or even Jesus. The religion relies on the five mandatory pillars of Islam and Sharia, the Islamic Law, which deals with numerous topics, from marriage, hygiene and diet to politics, crime, economics and trade rules.
